In the first quarter of 2025, the air travel app market in Austria saw varied performance trends among the top five applications on the Android platform. Here’s a look at how each app fared in terms of downloads and active users, based on Sensor Tower data.

Austrian Airlines showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from 1.4K and peaking at over 3.1K by the end of March. The app also observed a steady rise in weekly active users, climbing from 16K at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 24.2K by the end.

Ryanair experienced a stable increase in weekly downloads, reaching 2.3K in early February. Active users grew consistently, beginning at 25.4K and peaking at 36.2K by the end of March.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker saw a varied download trend, with a high of 1.3K at the start of the quarter, dipping mid-quarter, and rising to 1.1K by the end. Weekly revenue increased steadily, reaching nearly $2K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 40.5K in early January and concluding the quarter at 27.8K.

Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save maintained a low download rate, with a slight peak at 654 downloads in early February. Active users showed a general decline, starting at 9.2K and ending the quarter at 7.6K.

Lufthansa recorded relatively stable downloads, peaking at 546 in late March. Active users increased from 3.5K to 5.7K over the quarter.
